“ The food is incredible here! One of the best risottos I've ever had. . The caprese salad was really good too. The server was very friendly too and you could tell the owners put a lot of attention to customer service. They had a local magician going around to the tables too for some added entertainment. Overall it was a great experience!!!! ”
“ This restaurant is a hidden gem of Thunder Bay! My partner and I had an appetizer, 2 mains and a drink all for 103. Very reasonably priced and food was fantastic! I will say the drink was not as enjoyable as the food (tasted like a candle) but again reasonable price and cute presentation. Our server Sydney was wonderful and the young lad working the host stand (didn’t catch his name) was such a positive energy! Will recommend this place to others! Ordered: calamari, chicken parmigiana, lasagne and the strawberry rose-ito. ”
“ We were seated immediately upon are for our reservation and enjoyed a pre dinner drink (extra dirty Martini which was superb and Peroni beer) Nick our server was attentive and very personable! We enjoyed soup, meatballs, the caprese salad and shrimp scampi ans our appetizers and we both had the risotto with a grilled chicken breast. Finished off with coffee and Vanilla Amaretto Creme Brulee. The portion sizes were on the larger size and a great value. Everything was served to the perfect temperature and consistency and all was delicious. Highly recommend Grotta Trattoria and we will return very soon ”

I enjoyed the bruschetta, the gnocchi, and for dessert, an absolute showstopper, the creme brulee. I will definitely be back for lunch. 10/10 ”

We called it in, and it was delivered very promptly, with *more* complementary desserts. Excellent service. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The meatballs were my personal favorite. We'll be eating here again. ”
